The way a die tumbles in tower is different because it's more about bouncing off of surfaces instead of momentum and friction causing the roll.
I imagine it would look pretty normal until it hit the corral area at the bottom.
I played with Teflon dice once. They rolled so weird. They didn't have as much friction with the table surface and would slide.
There was an uncanny valley feeling watching them roll because your brain knows they should tumble more. And then they don't. That's not how dice should move.

There are some good options like the jewel-strewn heraldry of Druma. Taldor with the crown and lion motif. Qadira with crossed sabers.
Irez would love the Runesmith. Sigils and scholarship are right up her alley.
