I just checked the word count on the first draft of my manuscript, and I crossed the 100k word mark today!! Still a long ways to go on it, but this makes it feel... more real somehow.

Just a reminder: Russia influenced the 2016 election, and Trump was probably involved in criminal obstruction. The only reason he wasn't prosecuted was because he controlled the DOJ at the time.

They know what they're doing bucks popular sentiment. They know their vote actively harms their everyday constituents.

They're not public servants; they're grifters who have to jump through a few more hoops.

In preparation for, you know, a certain upcoming holiday when I suspect patriotism will become confused with fascism and death.

Patriotism means studying history to understand what your nation is – the light and dark at its core. It means rooting out the places where it doesn't live up to its own ideals. It means working hard to make your nation better tomorrow than it is today because it means something to you.

Patriotism isn't something you feel, it's something you do – just like love and hate and respect. Patriotism is an action.

Someday it'll be commonly understood that we're all a little queer in one way or another.
