It's crazy how many op-eds and general commentary after every election seem to only make sense if this is the first election the pundit's ever lived through

one of the most annoying parts of the US political cycle is how every four years people pretend as if "president-elect experiences higher-than-usual approval during transition period" isn't a typical, well-documented thing that happens every single time. It will mean basically nothing in six months

Got a letter back from Chuck Schumer on the PRESS act which says he will "continue to monitor" its progress.

...That's not good enough? He needs to push for a vote, now, before time runs out in January.

In general I think a DNC chair from one of the blue wall states is the best bet. They’re easily some of the most effective Dems in the whole country when it comes to actually knowing how to win elections.

True, I guess I’d also attribute some of it to a growing over-emphasis on plot when talking about TV/film, and a conservative cultural shift overall. When in doubt I blame CinemaSins

Was at the MET Museum yesterday and want to share some #art that stuck out to me.

This one sticks out not just because it’s pretty but because later that night I almost crashed my car into a deer that stopped in the road. With the headlights shining against it, it sorta looked a lot like this

Have you ever had an evil bus driver? lol my school district had a substitute bus driver who was not only insanely rude but who would knowingly leave kids behind if they were late to the stop, even if he could see them running towards it.

Also the 2008 Obama coalition was way better than anyone could’ve predicted back in 2004.

Also public transit in most of America is often severely underfunded, so the average American has straight-up never experienced good public transit outside of the school bus they took as kids.
