Finally watched #BadMonkey from @appletvbr.bsky.social and it exceeded my expectations for great fun & mystery. They captured @carlhiaasen.com style perfectly. Nobody knows a #FloridaMan like him. Anxiously awaiting season 2. I wonder if a certain favorite fictional Florida Governor will turn up.

Event Horizon is criminally underrated. When I was in Basic Training / AIT, and we finally got weekend passes, it was the first movie I went to. Others were out drinking and chasing women, this nerd went to a horror movie.

Give Twin Peaks a try sometime. Sounds like it's up your alley.

I weirdly feel bad. I didn't watch it when it came on, not realizing that it was going to be a humorous spy tale (somehow Bruce Campbell wasn't a clue). When I dropped in a few seasons in, I kicked myself for it. Better late than never though.

And what a career! Wings, Men in Black, Monk, Ms Maisel... But for me, he'll always be the bus driver in Quick Change.

And if you didn't see it already (and are a fan) the Monk movie on Peacock really was special. And all 3 #Psych movies (and counting) are great.

Right? I got hooked in with Monk. But that was the gateway drug to Psych, Burn Notice, In Plain Sight, Royal Pains. Several others that I'm surely forgetting.

I spoke with Anthony Michael Hall once. He was in Dead Zone. I asked him how USA managed to find these great shows. He said that it was really a case of the network letting creators be free. If that was true for you, I imagine it must have been a lot of fun given the great cast you worked with.

God's cool in all (even if fictional), but not even God power can match the early=mid 2000 USA lineup. Some crazy magic was at work there ❤️
