200 years ago, Louis Braille invented the 6-dot tactile written code that would become known as braille.

Here’s my first name as a visual representation of braille!

The Equality Act 2010 protects blind and partially sighted people from discrimination in the workplace and in access to goods and services, but there are gaps and barriers to people enforcing their rights, including the financial risk to a claimant if their case does not succeed.

Proud to have been part of intensive work over recent months to ensure that the experiences of blind and partially sighted people has been heard in the #UKCovidInquiry as it examined healthcare during the pandemic. Lessons must be learnt.
