This has been my experience as well. Each time I point out the issues I am told the equivalent of βbut it works on my machineβ.

CTO @ Revtelligent Inc. www.revtelligent.com I develop software, architect solutions in the cloud, and try to not be as distracted as a dog chasing cars.
This has been my experience as well. Each time I point out the issues I am told the equivalent of βbut it works on my machineβ.
24.07.2025 10:07 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0No it is still going strong on my feed. π’
15.07.2025 12:23 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0After two years of building solutions that use LLMs heavily I could not keep my mouth shut any more. Why? Because we are being fed fan fiction dressed up as an inevitable future on a daily basis.
So I decided to put some words on a page.

I look forward to reading it!
21.04.2025 19:16 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Yes!!! This is excellent news!
21.04.2025 18:37 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Thanks for the link @robbowley.net ! This looks very interesting. I have tons of respect for Yann Lecun, he seems one of the very few experts not having LLM Rabies
04.04.2025 08:02 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Agreed. I would also love to see the UK pull its head out of its backside and move closer to our largest trading block which has always been the EU.
As you say, no need to go jumping off the cliff and playing along with a trade war. Or at least take the time to think it all through.
THANK YOU!!! I posted on LinkedIn this morning about exactly why this is wrong and then of course the goal posts were shifted in the comments to "But a manager hiring engineers do not care or review the code". I weep every day seeing these arguments being made π€¦
24.03.2025 10:33 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0100% this! I keep getting people telling me that LLMs can reason like humans and can think. This from very accomplished tech professionals. I am starting to fear that the cool-aid have been gulped down by way too many. What is good to help the human understand is even better for the AI.
19.03.2025 09:22 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Forget the hype, focus on the engineering and facts.
18.03.2025 09:42 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0In the end it is a different way of engineering and there is a massive amount of new areas to get familiar with and build competency in. It is a new challenge, which looks different to the old challenge, but damn interesting to work in. It is magical and frustrating in equal measures.
18.03.2025 09:42 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0The most interesting divide I see in GenAI today is the difference in commentary between those who build with GenAI assistance and those that build GenAI based products. When you know how the GenAI application is made you realise that Context is king and your data engineering must change.
18.03.2025 09:42 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Why in the name of all that is sweet and holy can we not just admit this mistake and move closer to our biggest trading partners and cultural partners in the world?!! It baffles me.
18.03.2025 09:40 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0It is the three singles they have. More are added as they are mastered and released.
11.03.2025 21:11 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0If you are looking for a great soundtrack to get some work done then look at 12 O'Clock Club. You wont be disappointed! (Coding with good vibes, not "vibe coding")

If I hear another tech professional say "reasoning model" or insinuate that LLMs can reason then I am going to scream my head off!! What is wrong with tech people? How many times does it need to be pointed out that these things cannot "think" or "reason"?!! Can your bubble sort algorithm reason?!!
22.02.2025 12:22 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Looks like there were some changes by the Google Product team and this has been happening to everyone that is on PAYG. Not a pretty sight at all
07.12.2024 11:26 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Is anyone else having issues with Google Cloud's Vertex API giving 429 errors for their Gemini Flash 002 models?
I am being stonewalled on questions of capacity and get the feeling that Google is not able to serve demand to PAYG users.
It absolutely sucks.
26.11.2024 16:21 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0That was my experience when I lived in Germany. We had to order from Apple and pay the price. :(
26.11.2024 14:47 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I've spent the last two years scouring all available resources on RLHF specifically and post training broadly. Today, with the help of a totally cracked team, we bring you the fruits of that labor β TΓΌlu 3, an entirely open frontier model post training recipe. We beat Llama 3.1 Instruct.
Thread.
This looks awesome!! Thank you @davidberenstein.bsky.social

20.11.2024 11:32 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I donβt need to go on social media to have my worldview challenged I am in theoretical physics I have a new existential crisis daily
18.11.2024 23:43 β π 26978 π 2044 π¬ 369 π 122No problem at all. I am of the opinion that "every little bit helps" when making it more difficult for people to encrouch on our privacy.
19.11.2024 09:46 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Thanks for this @tedmasterweb.bsky.social It is a very cool idea. Going to dig into the repo you shared soon.

19.11.2024 08:56 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Absolutely love this. Very nice write up and something that I agree with. Thank you @principalengineer.com
18.11.2024 22:48 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Thank you for writing this. I found it insightful. I especially agree with the part about the API for a frontend app not being a fit for most 3rd party apps or systems integrations.
