Panel 1: A father in a blue shirt and khaki pants is holding up the world (represented by a small version of planet Earth) in front of his daughter. The daughter has messy hair with a braid going above the ears on both sides, to the back where it becomes a ponytail, and wears a pink t-shirt and yellow skirt. She is reaching for the world. The father says "Daughter. Like any good father, I want to give you the world."

Panel 2: Closeup of her little pants reaching for the world, which is resting in his big hand.

Panel 3: The father pulls his hand away, out of reach of this little hands, which are now uncertain and defeated. The background darkens.

Panel 4: "... If you can TAKE it from me," says the father. They are now in space, seemingly atop a solid pond reflecting the stars. The father is drippling the world between his legs, stanced up for some 1v1, with a basketball hoop behind him. The daughter looks on in the foreground.

Before Reagan, trickle-down economics was called the Horse & Sparrow Theory - if you feed the horse enough oats, the sparrows can then eat the stale oats with a side of manure. Bon appΓ©tit!

I can understand resilience against the personal suffering brought by the inevitable misfortunes, mistakes, and misunderstandings of living as dumbass apes. But systematic or state-sponsored ones? Jesus accepted the cruelty of the Romans, we won't.

Panel 1: A swordsman with a short, ragged red cape, 2 brown belts, and a shoulderpad, stands with a wide stance and his sword drawn in his right hand. We see him from behind the shoulder of his opponent, who seems to be wearing blue. Something is written on the red swordsman's chest, illegible from this distance.

Panel 2: We zoom in. What's written on the red swordsman's chest is "GOOD". He says "We could have been friends, you know."

Panel 3: The perspective is turned as his opponent is revealed to be wearing a long blue cloak and rectangular framed glasses. The wind billows his cloak.

Panel 4: The blue swordsman shifts his cloak to draw his sword, which glints in the sunlight with a "shiiiiing". It is revealed that on his chest is written "PERFECT". He responds: "No. We couldn't have."

a cool thing about art is that anyone can consider themselves an artist & anyone else can disagree with them. it's fine! genre & hierarchy are largely marketing &/or criticism tools. it's also just as valid to make art for pleasure as for profit/approval. just think about what matters most to you.

Last year the Japanese variety show Gaki no Tsukai had the famous singer Yoko Takahashi go undercover at a restaurant where she fooled everyone right up until she took the stage and belted out A Cruel Angel's Thesis, the intro song to Neon Genesis Evangelion. Just stunning.

Over a trillion dollars unaccounted for in the military budget. It's a grift that makes Americans more vulnerable and less healthy.

Forgive the earnest post here, but one year ago this week, Global Tetrahedron took over The Onion. We've since brought back the paper and ONN, dramatically increased revenue, and hired more writers and artists.

But most importantly, as other places debased themselves, we refused to bend the knee.

I can't say the interests and actions of the major players are transparent to me, but the cynic in me believes that every nation is on a spiral to isolationism and populist authoritarianism. Not a conspiracy, just the emerging best strategy due to unrestricted social media.

Same case happened in the late 1800's. Everybody knew the Great War is coming but nobody wants to douse the gunpowder pile.

To everyone that said Democrats like Van Hollen were making a political mistake in defending due process, you were wrong, and we shouldn’t even need a poll to tell us that.
