She passed away.....85 years old, at 8:34 AM EST, my grandmother is dead
The woman that raised me from day 1 is gone, shes.....gone

Basically the plans to get a tracheotomy done to insert a breathing tube in her neck, as well as a feeding tube. She'll be in a long-term nursing facility, but while the chance is very small, there IS still a chance she could recover enough to be able to come home

Basically the plans to get a tracheotomy done to insert a breathing tube in her neck, as well as a feeding tube. She'll be in a long-term nursing facility, but while the chance is very small, there IS still a chance she could recover enough to be able to come home
Tried to remove breathing tube yesterday but had to put it back due to liquid still building up in lungs
On ventilator shes ok, but she cant come home till she can breathe without it & the liquid buildup
They did a CT scan this morning, but have to wait a few bit for results
No big changes, UTI antibiotics are still ongoing, CT scan came back, no new swelling, breathings ok, oxygen, pulse, & BP all still good
Theyre hoping to take her breathing tube out today, decision will be made soon, but her sedation was increased due to her trying to pull on it
No major changes, grandmother caught a uti though and has a small fever
They WERE hoping to remove her breathing tube today, but decided against it due to the fever and infection
Beyond that, no real changes still, but vitals are still looking okay
No changes from yesterday, though they're gonna hopefully get the MRI done today & maybe lower her reliance on the medication drips
Also 5 hours from now it'll be 5 days since the stroke, & after 72 hours, 3-5 days the textbook time frame, so swellings looking okay so far
