For not living anywhere near a volcano, my living room floor is covered in lava far more often than I would have guessed when moving here.

Being a parent is making sure your kids eat something nutritional for dinner even when out somewhere and you have a long commute home and the weather doesn't cooperate, etc
Being an adult is putting those kids to bed and then eating ice cream and a Bavarian pretzel for dinner yourself.

Today is my annual reminder that I am not the owner of my Spotify account, merely an unpaid DJ for three very opinionated bosses.

It occurs to me that not every generation has a musical influencer at the height of their career write a song denouncing parasocial relationships. Maybe one of the Billboard's princesses should cover "Stan" soon. Break the cycle before it's too late.
