No, sadly it doesn't seem like it :/
I think they were trying to support the indie community on GC, but it seems odd to promote the person who left but not one of the other 18 artists who still use the platform

Even so, what do GC get out of promoting me when I no longer publish my comic on their website? The spot should have gone to another creator. At the very least, it seems no one did their research to see if I was still on the platform

I have pulled Maru Kiru off of GlobalComix due to their use of AI in marketing material, their hosting of AI generated content, and their lack of strong anti-AI policy.

I want to thank @roselinath.bsky.social for speaking up about this, and remind ya'll that speaking up is how we stick together...

I find it odd that they used my piece instead of another collab creator's who still uses their platform.

It seems like they didn't learn anything when GC creators spoke out against having their content used without their permission

For context: I agreed to be apart of the collab before I found out about Globalcomix using ai for promotion. I left my piece in because I had made a commitment and I didn't want to bail

-Leaves platform because they don't ask permission to use creator's content and use ChatGPT to make promotional videos

-Finds out they used my Wampus cat from the collab without permission anyways
