ANALYSIS | The big questions Danielle Smith poses to Albertans as referendums | CBC News Alberta's premier used to want rapid growth in newcomers and enjoyed surplus budgets. Now in deficit, she's pointing a finger at immigration levels.

Wild stat I found:
9 referendums (plus 10 for separation) means that on one October day, Alberta will have more ballot measures than in all 121 Alberta years before that. www.cbc.ca/news/canada/...

The Alberta Party has renamed itself the Progressive Tory Party. Their previous attempts to rename as the Progressive Conservative Party were blocked in the courts by the UCP, which then amended Alberta’s election laws to block any other party from using the word β€œconservative” in their name.

Dimitri Soudas, former Harper comms guy, told RadCan this morning that he's hearing Conservative MP Matt Jeneroux will cross the floor to the Liberals today.

If this happens, the Liberals are one seat short of a majority. You know what that means.

That's right.

Elizabeth May is Kingmaker.
