Last time I visited my brother & his in-laws 2 yrs ago I mentioned something about Hello Kitty to his MIL. We got there Friday and she gave me this.

It’s just crazy to me that there are so many people who think parking is or should be “free.” It’s never “free.” It’s incredibly expensive and you are paying whether it’s cash up front or not.

I’m sorry but this is crazy. Land costs money, and parking is the most inefficient use of land. Parking has real costs. Why does your city/employer owe you valuable space to store your private property?

B.C. releases recommendations to accelerate new housing in Oak Bay and West Vancouver | CBC News B.C.'s Housing Ministry has released two reports with recommendations to build more homes in two affluent suburbs of Greater Vancouver and Victoria.

“The recommendations also include amending parking requirements to a minimum of one stall per unit” — How about make that a MAXIMUM of one stall per unit? And how about mandating better bike parking? Geez, I can’t believe we’re still hung up on parking for cars.
