we went in late November, and enjoyed every minute.

also: I think it was a well-done continuation. I watched the first Gladiator last night to prepare, and I’m glad I did; this one continues the story and legacy of characters by name, rather than tries to replicate it. a lot of similar political themes and obstacles, but not a copy-and-paste

a few wonky bits of CGI, but it wasn’t a huge detraction. the combat scenes were as effective as ever, and I could watch hours and hours of Washington, Mescal, and Pascal in their characters

gotta say I loved Gladiator - such a solid sequel adaptation, with some incredible acting
