Is anyone keeping track of writer's withdrawing from the Polari Prize (because they're platforming transphobia)? So far I've seen statements from Jason Okundaye, Sacha Coward, Amy Twigg, Mae Diansangu and Ciara Maguire, all from the First Book Prize longlist.

Also FYI Queer as Folk is a great read (especially if you like queer stories and mythology) so sod the Polari Prize and go buy it and while your there pick up a book by a trans author

When queer media and art is often under represented and respected it is even more important that those spaces that claim to inclusive are held to account.

Well done to @sachacoward.bsky.social and all others pulling their books from the Polari prize for platforming an anti trans author

Yeah I defo think it would be fun to explore that to have a fully returning companion (I think the closest we have is Jack or Martha…though I also really want Martha to come back!)

I also just think her return in the newest season showed there was more left to explore with her - she finally knew more about where she came from but she still didn’t know who she was, especially post travelling with the doctor.

She may actually help ground a new regeneration like Rose or Clara

I’m hopeful she’ll be back again, her time didn’t feel up (I’d also love Belinda back but her story feels more tied up)
