Age old photographer dilemma of getting disillusioned by the digital and AI age, wanting to analog one’s life, developing a Strong desire to get into Film Photography and develop your own film, but can’t afford the chemicals, or have space for another layer of hobby.

my portfolio in B&W! Have known this lovely couple for about 2 years and we try to squeeze in a shoot whenever I’m back home on the rock.

I have many majestic and stunning photos of this human, (who is literally one of the coolest, hottest people I know) but nothing sums up why I love this friend so much as naked Salvador Dali Mosstache. I have taken a lichen to this photo a whole lot.

This was from one of my first shoots! I had worked with Elle on a few burlesque shows as a theatre tech, and her energy and presence and amazing costumes always jumped out at me. My inner voice saying “I wanna make weird art with this human”

Finally got back infront of the camera!!! Been oh so long! Was such a phenomenal experience and I can’t wait to shoot with them again! I forgot how good it feels to consensually be in someone else’s gaze. The feedback when you do something unintentional they love, the trust, the warmth. So much fun!

- An orca about 20 feet from me while at a rocky beach
-Pilot whales while hiking
-Several Foxes
-a Falcon in my back yard
-A polar bear that wandered in on the ice flows. It’s actually a semi famous animal rescue that shows up on wildlife shows.

Bonus: lots of moose, caribou, puffins and gannets

The Halifax conservatory might be a good place to start if you are looking for private lessons.

Another good place would be a community choir wich there are several including some queer specific ones. Happy to direct you to some if you are interested!

the only good thing about genAI is that it got me to really love seeing bad art, because I know a person put in time and effort, made themselves vulnerable by showing it to others, and is trying to improve. I value that more than anything now
