This is what I keep coming to. The only issue of course is how much corruption and gerrymandering that happens which then makes voting against these crooks and malcontents more difficult.

I am becoming increasingly anxious about:

1) The Government’s lack of meaningful response to this, and indeed the pandering to it.

2) The way it’s being covered by broadcasters.

I think Labour’s problem is that, as power has shifted to technocrats over recent decades, its ambitions have shrunk to chasing populist policies shaped by an algorithmically skewed version of public opinion, one amplified by rage-bait rather than grounded in reality.
