Reading is the stimulation I need to fill my brain and audiobooks fend off the loneliness of our siloed existence by sharing a book with another human

I love nothing more than to find a word I don’t know. I hate dumbed down things, but it’s also ridiculous when someone is trying too hard and a word doesn’t organically fit the use, like they’re trying to squeeze in a word they looked up, you know?

I read fast personally so I find the ability to speed up narration a godsend or I can’t focus. I’m not sure which is faster because my compression is processing pretty quickly either way

And, importantly, grow to care

How can you bear to read it? It’s too pretty

The real question: WHICH American accent? Boston or Deep South? 🤣
