I can kind of see that, but I'm talking more like in D&D where you can choose for so many varieties rules; how leveling up works, how long rests are. I feel like the game would benefit from having a system where way more of the rules feel optional, and alternate ways of doing things were suggested.

They're funny. In this edition they work like ground troops but they can scale walls. As opposed to ignoring terrain or flying up them at an angle.
Vehicles who fly are also incomprehensibly weird. They are either way too strong or weak and I can't tell because I don't understand those rules.

I totally understand and agree with that. I would totally love to paint a Yarrick model though. I don't think I want to use him in game, but I'd love even a memorial statue!

I'd love it if they had certain units like their character creator style thing they just released.
Or maybe Kill Teams had a 'simplified' version and a 'wargear' option, like Aeldari Corsairs.

* More fluffy terrain rules
* Not every leader character should keep coming back from the dead. Leave that for Necrons and Angron (people who do it in lore).
* Faction terrain or living spells style stuff like AOS? They are so fun to paint!
