Since InGen owned a whole archipelago of five islands, would they have built more parks? Would they have expanded with EJPOT, the Jurassic-Universal Studios, Jurassic Kingdom, and leave the fifth island for the fervent fanbase to speculate about whether there will eventually be a fifth park or not?

If we *are* gonna see more flicks, give me the movie that takes the conceit of the Universal Studios Hollywood ride as literally and dead serious possible. Give me the whirlwind of political intrigue that allowed dinosaurs to be placed in the middle of a movie studio/theme park in the middle of LA

If Harry Potter can be remade into a prestige television series, I’d like to see that be done with Jurassic Park instead of churning out endless braindead Jurassic Worlds. Give us a little more edgy version that faithfully adapts the novels and goes into the science and ethics a little deeper.

Imagine if Disney just all of a sudden went, “Surprise! We’re now throwing open the doors on a brand new theme park in the middle of the ocean today!” (Of course it’d be classic EPCOT Center because of course that’s the park that everyone everywhere in the world would want to go to the most)

And how was suddenly getting millions of more travelers through Costa Rica going to happen, because they certainly couldn’t have built the infrastructure for it ahead of time without news of the park leaking out.

Also, it is *really* crazy that Jurassic Park was top secret up until they were supposedly on the verge of opening. How many people did they think were just going to throw together last-minute travel plans to Costa Rica, even for freaking dinosaurs.

First off, it’s kind of crazy that in both the novels and the movies Isla Nublar suffered the same fate in completely different ways: napalmed in the novels but then blasted by a volcano in the movies. I wonder how much the filmmakers revisited the novels while developing the Jurassic World series.

I’ve fallen into a wiki rabbit hole and I’m finding that I have several thoughts on Jurassic Park.
