Taking just seconds out of yea day to put water in a bowl every morning and evening you can maybe help something not die in the heatwave and that seems worth it. Also you can just enjoy the wildlife and get a sense of well being.
People of color, pay attention. They expect us to not just be perfect, they also expect us to fit into the boxes of standards they have created for us in order for us to deserve the most basic of human rights. If you don't meet their standards of conduct, your life is worthless to them.
