It’s so funny that FIFA gave Trump a Peace Prize and a few months later he threatened to kill a national team that qualified for the World Cup.
Gambling is a dangerous slippery slope. Personally financial gambling has never appealed to me, but in the past few years, I have become fascinated not just with the widespread depth of sports gambling, but with POLITICAL, WAR, & DEATH gambling. It's insane!

I've always impatiently lamented the particular limits of content used to train AI & I've also wondered which works of fiction have been fed to AI.
The Grammarly article references a 2023 article on Stephen King's reaction to his books being used to train AI.

Before the 2022 social explosion of the AI revolution & ChatGPT, one basic current affairs topic for my students was 'outpacing'-how technology & the power of big tech barons & their corporate enterprises were outpacing the development of structures to regulate them. Tech was dwarfing governments.
AI isn't going away, but it can be useful as it has recently in pattern recognition, discovery, & broad analysis of resources, which have led to beneficial scientific progress.
I did 2 very simple AI projects to understand a bit about AI & people. I've also learned a lot from Bluesky users.
Since about 2022, I've challenged my global students to pay attention to the exponentially rapid growth & expansion of AI, whether they 'use' it or not, because IT uses them. It's crucial to consider present & future implications & consequences.

The Alexander Brothers now face Life in prison for their years-long sex trafficking & sexual abuse of young women & underage girls.
My take on how Jeffrey Epstein & the Alexander Brothers used the same playbook to try to intimidate victims & undermine their credibility.

I've never heard anyone claim otherwise so I just assumed most people understood sci as political...unless they are little children. Star Wars is blatantly political, but even sci-fi with one sole character, an alien even, has political implications.
This is amazing.
When the government kills a crucial report, independent scientists decide to write it anyway and release it outside of government channels.
That’s science serving society, even when our political leaders don’t.

and some are just saying screw going to doctors for anything. Let the chips fall where they may, live in pain and die when we die. A short visit for simple care should not cost $3700.
Whether it's insurance or co-pays, the astronomical cost of healthcare is absurd. People in power want it that way.

James Fishback likely will not be the next governor of Florida. But he represents a rise of antisemitism and racism that started as trolling for trolling's sake to sincere beliefs among young men on the right. Good @michellegoldberg.bsky.social piece.

NEW: Before the Iran War, Trump ignored warnings that Iran could retaliate across the region and stop oil shipments. Now, with energy markets in chaos, some aides are pessimistic about the lack of a strategy to end the war. But they haven't told Trump. Gift link: www.nytimes.com/2026/03/10/u...
NEWS: The Trump administration confirmed it bombed a girl’s school in Iran.
It's one of the most devastating military errors in decades.
Trump lied about it. Pete Hegseth gutted the office preventing civilian casualties.
175 are dead. Most were kids. Hegseth should be fired.
