So, a limitation of Blue Sky is the 300 character limit per post.

It seems Blue Sky is more a Twitter like platform than a Facebook like platform.

That and navigating the platform is a bit more confusing (at least for me).

But I so want to done with Facebook. 😔

It is official, our house hates us.

We are about to sell our house, appliances have staged a revolt. 2 refrigerators, a dishwasher, kitchen sink, the bathroom sinks, and now the hot water heater all have died and had to be replaced.

Oh, and my car wants in on the fun, the battery just died.

(I may have had to figure this out once upon a time.) Although hydrogen has high energy density, its storage and distribution infrastructure is less developed, which is why EVs have been successful. But once the hydrogen distribution system is in place, then hydrogen will have the advantage.

Compared to EV batteries, hydrogen has a significantly higher energy density per unit mass, as hydrogen stores considerably more energy than a typical EV battery; with hydrogen having an energy density around 39.6 kWh/kg compared to a battery's 0.1 to 0.27 kWh/kg range.

It seems that the internet, once the promise of unlimited access to information, has ended up as a means to give the ignorant a voice. Instead of educating, the internet has allowed stupidity to rule. And I mean that literally. 😔

Sadly, these commenters do not understand the technology, they just either repeat false information they have heard, or they create false information. Their replies amount to childish arguments or insults. (Continued)

My team designed and built a hydrogen fuel cell, so I have some knowledge of what I’m talking about. But the responses consisted of comments like… “Hydrogen failed 20 years ago.” or “EVs rule, hydrogen cars will explode.” or “The Hindenburg blew up because of hydrogen.” (Continued)

What is stopping fuel cells is that we do not have a hydrogen distribution network in place. And while there are promising means to produce green hydrogen, scaling hydrogen production is still a challenge (for now). The problem? Others started crapping on the discussion. (Continued)

I’m sad that having intelligent conversations on the internet is nearly impossible. I was discussing the potential of Hydrogen vehicles and what it will take for them to displace EV and GAS. A fuel cell is an environmentally friendly means to power transportation. (Continued in comments)

We are trying to make the most of the few weeks we have left here in California.

But then the next great adventure of our lives begins. A trek across the country to our new place.

(Hmmm… The size limit on posts may hinder this platform)

There has not been a lot of “discussion” here. I’m hoping for more dialogue with friends.

As to what we have been up to…

We have been busy packing (getting ready for our move in March). Our time in California is growing short.

One interesting issue is that it does not seem that BlueSky posts can be ‘natively’ edited. Though apparently there is a third-party app (Skeets) that can edit posts. Strange…

It is going to take me a while to understand and get used to BlueSky. I’m hoping that enough folks migrate from Meta products that BlueSky gains critical mass to challenge Meta products. I have grown weary of putting up with Zuckerberg products…
