I still like NSR and the music, but I do not like outwardly expressing it nor am I excited for NSR 2. "Don't knock a thing because of it's fanbase" is only easy to say when you haven't experience the horrors for yourself.

I do miss some of the friends I had during those days, but it's for the better that we all fell out of touch. For all I know, they probably don't even remember me or even really liked me in the first place. Hard to tell when everyone was so allergic to talking things out.

Not the most upsetting fandom I've been apart of in the past, but it's still in the top 5. I've witnessed friendships crumble in an instance over shit that could of been a DM or email. Chalk full of toxic positivity and walking on eggshells.

From my experience, it was a very "my way or the highway" type of fanbase. Like nobody really wanted to talk things through and were incredibly trigger happy. On the flip-side, you could bring up a genuine concern and it's just get Crickets.

Every so often I remember my time in the NSR fandom and it honestly makes me want to cry. I remember the days where it was actually nice and inviting but then a year or so into its lifespan, it all turned sour.
