Idk I'm just sad that such a great story about processing grief and recognizing internalized homophobia is being shoehorn into "gay horror but mostly just a simple BL" when it's not that at all

"Is it a romance?" "Its not even gay?" "Oh it's a BL series thats it"

People act like there has to be a sex or romance for a story to be queer. So the moment I'm not dating my gayness and the influence being queer has on my life, fears, interactions, and perception by others magically vanishes.

Don't get me wrong I'm very happy it's out because its always been a favourite manga series but seeing all the bad takes from people about The Summer Hikaru Died is just about physically painful.

I'm talking to my specialist again in November so here's hoping I can get some input

Sorry I've been absent y'all, for those who've followed me for a bit you might know I have chronic health issues and have been trying different immune suppressant prescriptions this year, Ive been sick from about mid July till now. The hospital scare went away but I got another flu shortly after 😅🫠

This isn't like the average online petition btw, this is one of those things where if it gets enough signatures, the HOC absolutely must bring it to the floor for discussion. Incredibly important to get on this if you're Canadian.

disgusting horrific critter concepts, these prob will still be an open species for anyone to create their big nom nom freak, I just lost a bit of interest on working on them for a really long time, and today I tried to revisit them.

As an artist it helps a ton to see a bunch of different renditions and interpretations, as well as the general vibe of the character.
