"M-hm," Hua Cheng agrees, his voice a bit higher than usual. "Totally different."

Xie Lian takes pity on him and comes over for a kiss, abandoning his new, rubbery seat. Hua Cheng moans into his mouth.

Xie Lian looks up at him, still bouncing. "What did you call this? An exercise ball?" he asks, laughing a little at Hua Cheng's predicament. "It's fun! San Lang, you're so silly, this is nothing like... /that/."

Xie Lian bounces up and down, his powerful thighs propelling him up and controlling his descent. Hua Cheng stares hungrily, claws digging into the sheets beneath him. "Gege," he mouths soundlessly, his entire body aroused.

"Cleaning up what?" Hua Cheng asks innocently. The pile of ceramic shards on the floor vanishes. Very far away, Qi Rong yelps as a broken dish crashes over his head.

"San Lang," Xie Lian laughs, leaning in for a kiss. "You're so mischievous."

"And you like it," Hua Cheng agrees.

Hua Cheng plucks it out quickly. A butterfly flutters from his vambraces to alight on the small wound. Soon, Xie Lian's finger is as it should be again.

"You'd better stay, in case I do it again cleaning up," Xie Lian says doubtfully.

Papers go flying. Hua Cheng doesn't spare a single thought for the task of organizing them again. In an instant, he's in the kitchen.

"You didn't have to come," Xie Lian complains, but he holds out his hand. A tiny piece of ceramic is embedded in his finger.

Hua Cheng looks up from his work. "Everything okay, my love?" he calls in the direction of the kitchen.

"Yep!" Xie Lian says cheerily, but Hua Cheng catches the hint of pain underneath the word.

Hua Cheng beams at him, proud. "Exactly," he says, and pushes the heavenly official out of their home.
