A slipper orchid bloom. It has a bright pink slipper with tiny darker spots and a cream color around the top edge. There’s a dark green pentagonal disk above it and then two long twisty fuzzy lateral petals the same pale color but with many dark maroon dots. The top or lateral petal shades from a deep spring green in the center to the very pale yellow, almost white, at the edge and has 10 handsome dark stripes in graduating lengths on top of that. This is a very eye-catching orchid!

Usually she insisted on seeing Wei Wuxian herself, arguing that the assistants and nurses had “better things to do than wave a tricorder at your abdomen while you flirt with them.” It seemed unfair to Wei Wuxian to deny them the experience of his charm, but there was simply no arguing with Wen Qing. Not that he didn’t try. Today, though, Wei Wuxian was greeted not just by Dr. Wen’s stern expression, but Lt. Lan Wangji’s as well. A double whammy of unimpressed! Lan Wangji, good Vulcan that he was, didn’t so much as blink at him, though if We Wuxian’s wasn’t mistaken his ears had definitely gone a little green. "Lt. Lan has requested permission to observe your medical exam. He’s conducting research on the physiological implications of cross-species procreation, and has taken an interest in your case.” “Oh, are you interested in me, Lt. Lan?” Wei Wuxian simpered. “Who am I to deny such a handsome man? Have at it! Although, I’m not actually a mixed species, as far as we know.” He patted his abdomen. “It’s not like Sanren here procreated with anyone to end up in here.” “I am aware that your situation was not the result of sexual contact between species,” Lan Wangji said, without a shred of humor. “Your circumstances are unique, providing an opportunity for research that would—” “Yeah yeah, I know,” Wei Wuxian said, hopping up onto the examination table and whipping off his shirt. “I’m one of a kind, and all that. Let’s get this over with, I have stuff to be doing.”

Vulcanji appears! What else can WWX do but whip his shirt off and flirt relentlessly?
