Ok Scottish Bluesky. I just booked my first ever trip to the highlands. Sleeper to Inverness in June then car for a week. Want to be in nature, peace and beauty. nothing too strenuous. Where should we go?

Agree. Sounds like a Fluke track. I wonder if that's the association in my head with Wipeout though.

Also if anyone can recommend a good replacement for Noire I'm open to ideas.

This is a very, very good idea.

I've already had older tracks uneditable because they won't open in older unsupported Noire and Kontakt versions. Only plugin ever to experience this with. The epitome of software enshittification.

the 1610 Vespers remains one of my all time favourites - I have that recording as well. It's like a threshold between ancient and modern music in the complexity of it's harmony. Massive influence on me.

100%. esp promoters. you're either into it or not. and I'd rather do one amazing gig a year, or try stuff out at an EMOM, than waste my energy convincing people I'm worthwhile.

Tunstall forest, Suffolk.

Tunstall forest, Suffolk.

Hello new followers! New album coming in the spring but for now here's a photo of Tunstall forest which I scoped out this morning to do some filming for visuals in.

Also the entire place was like a scene from High Fidelity. They even had a copy of the 3EPs.

Went to our local vintage record shop for the first time today and my fears were confirmed that it's a really good place to pick up that Yes album you're missing from your collection but you're probably not going to find much Ninja tune in there.

funnily enough, it was only getting into hardware 5 years agi (and especially modular) that started to give me the better technical understanding, despite making electronica for 30 years. I was a proud preset king until this record!

definitely true. Although true for me is the need to evolve my sound and process (possibly the nature of the music I write) and tech has always been a part of that. but it definitely comes to the detriment of craft and I should probably spend more time on my clarinet technique than browsing Juno.

Although that said, there's no question that the S4 and Microcosm really put a beautiful cherry on the top of the album in a few places.

Wait until you see Synthfluencers.

I've fallen a little foul of a bit of "I just need this thing and it'll be perfect" since COVID, but having now finished a new record, most of the actual creative progress I made was in taking the time to do the detail work. My studio is overkill now.

Just picked this up and immediately absolutely lush. The kind of melodic, harmonic, widescreen electronica that you want in your life. Music with a musical opinion is, imho, increasingly rare in the more ambient circles. This is bang up my street. Lovely job mate!
