Ended up settling on a Radeon VII. The perf isn't much better, but at £130 it was basically a free upgrade after I sell the 1080 ti.

Should last me the next couple years, and 16gb of HBM2 should be good for CAD & VR.

Spent today browsing around for a cheap replacement to my GTX 1080 Ti with bad VRAM. And holy crap everything after the 1080 Ti is expensive as fuck, has minimal perf uplift aside from flagships, and has fuckall VRAM.
