That sounds fair. Trust should be earned after all, and what the next democratic (you can say that for Democrat if they do take power back) does to actually seriously mean “never again” in terms of strengthening checks and balances would probably more key to our allies than actually retaking power.

In the US we are guessing, either through recent polls, internal poll leaks from republicans, or just the watching the recoil shift, that trump probably has a 30-35% floor for his base of the voting demographics. Is the base similar for Poland’s more extreme right wing?

Does Poland also recognize that trump was never majority popular by Americans (and not just the voting population), if not then in 2024, then definitely now?

Genuine question what it looks like from the outside, with regular mass protests and blowout republican losses in special elections here.

I’d like to argue that NATO expansion is not a myth, its real. Its a real solution that its member state, through their historical experience and self-determination chose to adopt.
