This critique, however, (the FT article, not the report) is at best 15 years out of date. Things *have* changed. There are still real problems, but addressing them requires an accurate diagnosis.

Well worth a read. I left Manchester in August 2018. When I returned three years later, I was shocked to see the city had a skyline!

It's utterly mad.
These people are the opposite of terrorists.
THEY WANT PEACE.
The police know they're not terrorists.
The government knows they're not terrorists.
Yet, on the Home Secretary's orders, they're being arrested under the Terrorism Act.

Absolutely dystopian juxtaposition from the Guardian front page. Difficult to understand how anyone of decency and conscience can defend this government at this point. Just sheer moral degeneracy to arm a state that does this and arrest people for objecting. Wtf are we doing as a country?
