So it's stuff like that I want to work though because I used to dig into a lot of crazy shit, but nowadays I just watch old tv shows and scroll on the timeline and maybe one in awhile see something cool.

I donno where I was getting at for a sec, heh

... so I really spent a good two years doing exposure therapy just to not feel triggered when they came up, and I actually like their work now.

So like, it wasn't like they were problematic or anything, I just had a weird impression and it psyched me out.

I can understand that.

I actually went though a whole desensitization period with one artist, I got a bad experience with how they presented themselves online, but the problem was they were prolific ...

Anything with the ARG stuff, I can kinda see that? I think I get turned off when the media is too decided to never break character or have a boundary where, if it's too much you can 'escape' from it.

But I can see it going either way, truthfully.

Truthfully, it was so long ago I just never gave it a chance again. I just remembered one character was going though a depressive spell but it was too.. real. like POV level and I just got hit with trauma. it sucked.

I also reject anything that feels it's too lore dumpy in an ARG sense or rabbit holes nowadays, so it's like. I notice I've become less curious over the years.

I kinda do this too, but I also have really had trouble enjoying the media on its own terms too.

A good example, I was a fan of anime studio Shaft since Zetsubou Sensei, decided to check out Madoka... enjoyed it up until a triggering part, and I just turned on the show badly, like hated it.
