I appreciate your posts here. It brings me back to the days when twitter was a way for conference participants to interact. Pre-slido too!

I remember Winamp! And thanks for naming the role of libraries, especially the part about information for trans kids. So important! ๐Ÿณ๏ธโ€โšง๏ธ

Everyone wants a village, but no one wants to be a villager. There is a paradox quietly eating away at contemporary life, and you have likely felt it yourself.

Three tawny frogmouth birds, two parents and one baby nestled next to a parent on the branch of a gum tree. The juvenile is about 2 months old and the family has been spotted in various trees in this stand of trees next to Edgars Creek, a tributary to the Merri, that flows into the Yarra River.

"Agree to disagree" is reserved for things like "I don't like marmite." Not homophobia, transphobia, not human rights. Not basic common decency. We do not have a difference of opinion here. We have a difference in morality. Disagreeing with the validity of someone's identity and the rights and services they deserve or don't deserve because of it is discrimination, not disagreement.

Beliefs are like shoes. Mine fit me, not you, but that doesn't make your feet bad. Old shoes fall apart. New shoes need breaking in.

Anyone out there? It often feels like Iโ€™m staring into an abyss on here. Please respond especially if we know each other outside this space. Wondering if being on BlueSky is worth it. I had high hopes.
