This Isabelline Wheatear was busy feeding next to the beach at Kourio. Despite being the most nondescript of the wheatears, there’s something charismatic about them! #cyprusbirds

I always seem to be a bit late to the Swift party (the first report was two weeks ago) but my first Common Swifts (3) of the spring! Singing Swallows in the village and House Martins already nest prospecting, where did winter go!?

One of my favourite sounds of spring, the song of a Barn Swallow! Fresh in over the last few days and not wasting anytime. All 10 birds present were male and are already getting ready for another season.
