Why the surprise each time there's more evidence of his politics?! It's like déjà vu all over again (Yogi Berra). He hasn't fallen or lost his way either. There's been a clear trajectory & mainstreaming has been success. Many of us have been calling him out for years, but are ignored ... even now.

He's been a centrist, if not conservative, playing this line for ages (as have quite a few former punks) and it is a well worn political position that many share in the current context, particularly when their politics are criticised as his have on Israel. It tracks.

Nick Cave says he is "neither on the left nor on the right" and "finding both sides indefensible and unrecognisable" Nick Cave has shared insight on his political outlook, and said that he is "neither on the left nor on the right” as he finds both sides “unrecognisable”.

This is not mature & above the fray of politics & ideology, it's centrist dad BS.
