Seriously, if the art is strong, some color variation simply doesn't matter that much. The average person will never notice anyway and only you the artist know it didn't match exactly what you intended.

If you feel demotivated bc you picked your pencil up for the first time in months and feel like your drawing sucks, do it like 5 more times. Change it. Rework it. It's actually incredible how much better you get in 1 sitting.

I want to remind everyone that if I went with my first sketches, I'd be convinced I couldn't draw. I sometimes have those feelings after my first sketches, and then remind myself to do 3-5 versions, pushing and changing the idea. And then bam I remember that it was just First Sketch Syndrome.

I've been working on an essay about The Struggles of TTRPG Outreach and Fandom but I think this tumblr post just captured the whole sentiment im like 100 words.
