Employer for employer related stuff, me for my own. On separate laptops so there's no cross-contamination.

I've had one of these for 8 years and counting. Still has yet to spill a drop and keeps the temperature for what seems like forever.

I tried a bunch. And even when at the very beginning it didn't have LLM access, Warp stood out as being the nicest one to use out of the box. My zshrc is actually smaller because Warp deals with a bunch of stuff.

I never thought I'd be this excited about a terminal emulator and yet here we are.

You know what would be amazing, #AWS? If #CDK could do the things that Org-Formation can do.

I'm still rocking a 16in 2017 MacBook Pro and it handles a relatively heavy load like a champ. I'll be sad to see it go when it does, but I'm hoping to get at least another year out of it.
What a machine.

As if FIFA would give a shit. They have a track record already.

Is there a way to start up LocalStack with Podman instead of Docker? I've had some trouble when I tried, but might have missed something.

On the phone to close down my Virgin Media account due to moving abroad. Being asked where I'm moving to and what is the reason for moving "for their records". They are an ISP and it's none of their business. Help me make sense of this?

No little glass bottles of Sagres Mini?

I use Arc Browser and have Kagi as my default search engine. Pretty happy with it.

Ohhhh. Is there a link to this sale?

Has anyone gotten #localstack working with #podman on MacOS?

I dunno. Could it be that they are different fields with very few overlapping skill sets? Why do marketers usually suck at programming?

I mean... There is actually a real world scenario where that is true. It is not common, but it's an extreme cost saving measure in cloud computing.

Did that a few years ago. It's not that good for web dev work, because half an ultrawide is narrower than a regular screen. Also it's rough for others when you share your screen on zoom calls. I ended up adding a second screen of regular size to the setup.

Here's an idea. Use Framer Motion to make the orange text rotate content, looping through the various APIs you support.

It's certainly got a learning curve to it, but I remember pulling off stuff in Reaper that I couldn't do in Logic or ProTools back in the day that I was recording stuff.

It's super flexible! You might come to appreciate it :)

If you are looking for a DAW, Reaper is pretty awesome and works on Windows, MacOS and Linux.

MacOS is also a better alternative for music than Windows, in my experience.

Reminds me of Money Heist. I watched it in the original Spanish, but for giggles I check out the English dub and it was terrible. Latin languages have a certain body language associated that doesn't work with English.

Fair. I misread part of the post :)

SMS is actually fairly insecure. I wouldn't rely on it for 2FA if given a choice.

That's how you pronounce it in Portuguese

Which DBs are you using for each use case? Why not one DB for the entirety of the backend? I can imagine some scaling benefits or just trying to make things decoupled, but is the complexity trade off worth it?

Nice work on solving it though :)

01.01.2025 10:40 — 👍 0    🔁 0    💬 0    📌 0

Why did it take 3 databases? Would love to hear more about the backend challenges!

Possibly. If you can get a loan at a low enough rate, and a safe enough investment with at least a little more return, you can come out winning.
