You sound like a Victorian aristocrat and you must stop this.

It’s not inclusive, it’s patronising.

Style guides need to deal with this aberration more clearly.

The transfer of the @uswnt Jenna Nighswonger to @arsenalwfc.bsky.social was covered in every major sports paper, magazine and website. The fact that she hasn’t played a single minute since pre-season, not even making the bench (apart from one CL match, where more are allowed), is a scandal.

‘Start’? She’s not even making the bench. It’s very disappointing to see Slegers treat a player like this.

Nice to see Yorkshire represented.

Has this been retouched in some way? It doesn’t look like other early photographs from the 1840s. It’s wonderful, just the same!

Even then, one back-up keep is enough. This Nighswonger situation is very strange. A highly sought after USA international, NWSL rookie of the year, NWSL champion in her first season, etc, overlooked for a second backup keeper? Something isn’t right.

She offered no explanation for naming three goalkeepers (!) against West Ham. She could easily still the waters, but bizarrely chose not to.

Last day of recording our ‘Vivaldi in Prague’ CD, supported by The Continuo Foundation. Today was the very nimble Sally Holman dispatching Vivaldi’s bassoon concerto in G minor. The day ended with the epic violin concerto in D minor by Jiránek, played by Tassilo Erhardt. We did it!

End of a fantastic day 1 of our Continuo Foundation supported recording project: ‘Vivaldi in Prague’!First day was arias with Hana Blažíková and a motet with Tim Dickinson.
