Alongside 36 other organisations, we have written an open letter to the PM calling for a strategy that addresses the causes of rising mental illness, suicide and people out of work.

We're talking about the effect that uniforms can have on young people. How it can scrub away the opportunity for young people to share different bits of their personality. Also how young people have the ability to self regulate taken away from them. #mhTV

One example @sam--chapman.bsky.social cites is that children have 3mins to get from 1 room to another, sometimes on opposite sides of the school building, but if they run they get a detention, but if they're late they get a detention. A difficult scenario to balance. #mhTV
