I like to think we're not that doomed as a society yet, but Oneshot's fandom is definitely on the younger side and consequently leans into a very surface level reading of the source material

that said, however, there's still a lot of very capable and very smart folks still making new content based on the setting, which I think is very cool

it leans very much into all the most annoying aspects of fandom culture unfortunately, including the inability to enforce gatekeeping effectively, reiterating on, at this point, decade-old injokes, and generally being unable to read the game more profoundly than "little pancake cat is creature"

forcing Oneshot fans to play Oneshot so they can finally make funny memes and engage with the material constructively

Garnet is a really funny character y'all just not ready for that conversation
