This month, a federal judge granted a temporary restraining order (TRO) barring federal agents from conducting racist, suspicion-less stops. The order also ordered that immigrants arrested must have access to legal counsel. The federal government then immediately challenged the TRO and appealed.

GREAT NEWS: Today the court in Santa Barbara granted the motion to quash, adopting reasoning in our amicus brief. The court recognized that, when the government seeks information impacting speech rights, a much higher showing is necessary.
