The first image off my camera of the Blood Moon. This is right at totality, 3:33 a.m. I did very little processing on this. I sharpened it. The light and color are exactly as they came off my camera. #astronomy #astrophotography

A combat-unit commander told non-commissioned officers at a briefing Monday that the Iran war is part of God’s plan and that Pres. Donald Trump was β€œanointed by Jesus to light the signal fire in Iran to cause Armageddon and mark his return to Earth,” according to a complaint by a non-commissioned officer.

From Saturday morning through Monday night, more than 110 similar complaints about commanders in every branch of the military had been logged by the Military Religious Freedom Foundation (MRFF).

The complaints came from more than 40 different units spread across at least 30 military installations, the MRFF told me Monday night.

I swear we're now in the mini-season known as Dumb Coat. This means no matter which jacket or coat or parka you choose that morning, it will either make you sweat or turn your bone marrow into ice.

GWβ€˜s student newspaper appears to have broken the story that the institution has sold a satellite campus to Amazon to be turned into a data center, which is just about chef’s kiss for the state of American higher education rn

Vedder Cup | Seattle Mariners We’re excited to partner with the San Diego Padres and Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Eddie Vedder to officially designate our season series as the Vedder Cup.

Haha thanks. Although the Mariners and Padres also claim him. www.mlb.com/mariners/tic...

Ivermectin is making a post-pandemic comeback, among cancer patients The anti-parasitic drug became a household name during the COVID-19 pandemic, and it is now being embraced as an alternative treatment for cancer. It is as politically polarizing as ever.

There is no credible evidence that ivermectin has any impact as a cancer treatment.

If you choose to take it instead of undergoing standard treatment, you will die from your cancer.

It is so so so stupid for them to even consider the son of the Shah. The Shah's iron rule, thanks to the U.S., is what got us into this mess in the first place!

A reddish nebula through an Astrophotography telescope.

From Wikipedia:

The Eagle Nebula (catalogued as Messier 16 or M16) is a young open cluster of stars in the constellation Serpens … refer to visual impressions of the dark silhouette near the center of the nebula, an area made famous as the "Pillars of Creation" imaged by the Hubble Space Telescope. The nebula contains several active star-forming gas and dust regions, including the aforementioned Pillars of Creation. The Eagle Nebula lies in the Sagittarius Arm of the Milky Way.

Making sure the telescopes are ready for tonight’s Lunar Eclipse.

Turned towards the Eagle Nebula for a quick 10 minutes while racing against the brightening sky.

I'm also working to help defeat the bad library bills and it'd similar to what you say here, with "choice." And they create chilling effects with a lot of this legislation.
