also, exercise A LOT of caution with all the ways floating around to cheat it. There's surely already account stealing happening around this.

Hey fam can we create a new alternative to Discord but it's a text-based MUD where you have to navigate the channels on foot by walking to the different rooms and chatting with the other players. Level up your character. learn some new spells. Make friends. Have fun.

This is also probably a good time to remind people why it's a really fucking bad idea to use discord as a file hosting venue for your projects

anyway I'm just saying, this is why those annoying people who care about privacy and user freedom keep warning people about services like this where you don't have the freedom to move elsewhere.

So please consider that when you're evaluating Discord replacements. Don't just find Discord 2.

i dont think one thing should replace discord, i think like three things at minimum should replace discord. it being an All-in-One app has ruined so many parts of online.
