Point being, the utilities allow people to integrate their heating systems or fully displace it with a heat pump. Without integration they cannot guarantee savings to the state’s energy efficiency board to prove diligent use of rate payer funds.

We may have the same model as you. Ours it’s great because it costs less to run and freed up space in the breaker panel to install a heat pump for the living room.

We have a requirement in our rebate program that if a fossil fuel heating system is not removed during the heat pump install, it must be integrated (with a dual fuel thermostat). This was required to prevent heating cost increase from competing systems.

I’d like to start off by saying I am not a hater, Americans from all walks of life should find ways to save energy by electrifying. Shouldn’t data center building owners be finding solutions to the created electric demand, rather than consumers further reducing usage?

We hear this same misinformation in NE USA. I’m originally from Midwest USA (colder winters than NE, for context) and heat pumps work well below 0 degrees F (-18 C). Quite frustrating that people open their wallet without hesitation for heating oil bills but think heat pumps don’t work.

While I use a webcam and mouse (for work) with my laptop, having an iPod, a phone and an internet communicator all-in-one is truly an upgrade. Though I still miss the days of 3.5 mm on the device, this alone may be the reason I still own an iMac.

Question for you: Can you get actual desktop versions of websites in Safari on the iPad? Does Safari try to force mobile since it’s a tablet? Haven’t had an iPad since 2020 so I’m not familiar with browser changes.
