A tweet saying "every single municipal budget looks like the dril candle budget tweet" with a graph showing Police taking like 90% of a city's budget. Baltimore specifically.
When people talk about how systemic and structural issues don't exist but the data all looks like this.
05.08.2025 21:15 โ ๐ 3877 ๐ 1339 ๐ฌ 40 ๐ 35AI filmmaking and storytelling is punk rock. Itโs hip hop. Itโs counterculture. Itโs a new type of creativity. Itโs a new medium. Itโs hated by the mainstream film and art establishment. It resists ideology. It ignores gate keeping. Itโs uncomfortable. Itโs scary. Itโs viral. Itโs accessible. Itโs refreshing. Itโs welcoming. Itโs here.
AI filmmaking is peeing. Itโs pooping. Itโs throwing up. Itโs a new kind of liquid coming out. Itโs hated by the establishment. Itโs what goes in the toilet. Itโs wet. Itโs whatโs in the bathroom.

Screen shot of an Amazon review says "I was vaguely familiar with this authorโs work through seeing her name in books and articles about weird fiction writers from the first half of the 20th century, but I wasnโt prepared for the greatness in this volume. An excellent foreword sets up her life contextually, and then itโs on- I read the entire book in one sitting, I couldnโt put it down. If you dig Lovecraft, Frank B. Long, Robert Bloch etc, youโll love this. Werewolves, ghosts, ghouls, all with a weird fresh twist. Highest recommendation, canโt wait for another volume."
One thing we do is reprints of forgotten works, many of them by women who wrote for pulp magazines. Just saw this excellent review of FETTERED AND OTHER TALES OF TERROR by Greye La Spina. Available most places books are sold.

02.08.2025 19:25 โ ๐ 42 ๐ 12 ๐ฌ 4 ๐ 1Post from "The Rundown" July 18 at 5:30โฏPM ยท DuckDuckGo has introduced a new feature allowing users to filter out AI-generated images from search results, addressing growing concerns over synthetic content overwhelming authentic visuals online. The filter can be activated through a dropdown in the Images tab, search settings, or by using a dedicated AI-free domain: noai.duckduckgo.com. The system relies on curated blocklists, including uBlockOriginโs Huge AI Blocklist, to detect and suppress AI-generated imagery. While not perfect, it significantly reduces synthetic content visibility. This move sets DuckDuckGo apart from competitors like Google and Bing by giving users direct control over their exposure to AI-generated material. Source: TechCrunch
