Last Saturday, I took a local hummingbird needle felting workshop. I didn't quite finish during the alloted time, so I brought him home to finish him. He's far from perfect (and not exactly realistic), but I love him ❤️ More photos shots of him finished and in progress in the thread.

I took some photos of my recent Nerikomi projects this morning. Most are fully finished, but I'm including a few in progress photos, too. I also broke a couple of fully finished pieces 😩 I was bummed, but I figure it's a reason to try Kintsugi. Enjoy this thread of Nerikomi photos!

Since it's been a while since I've posted any of my art/creative work, here is a thread with some of my favorite recent fused glass work! I'll try to share some recent Nerikomi work soon, too (though most of it is still in process because my thumb stalled my progress).

The hummingbird in this photo may be hard to spot. It's in the bottom left corner with its wings spread as it flies to another flower out of frame!

The Ocotillo plants on campus were in bloom today, so I decided to stop & take some photos. I was lucky to also catch a hummingbird that flew up to feed from the flowers on it! It was a good reminder that there's still beauty in the world, even in challenging times. A thread of photos...

Between developing incredibly painful trigger finger in my right thumb & being horrified on a daily basis at what goes on in this country since Trump took office, I haven't felt like posting much lately. I'm hoping to get back to posting more often now that my thumb is feeling mostly better!
