Last month I made a joke about Evatt sacking the kitman after his next loss.

One month later and that's our reality, and to bring another of his ex-player mates in.

I certainly see it as an indirect response to fan pressure, to publicly say 'I run the show here'.

Since year-end 2013 I have compiled my top 200 films of all time list. In all that time 2001: A Space Odyssey & Chinatown have been the only 2 films to have ever been #1. I'm currently working on it ready for Year End 2024 and I have a feeling we may have a new #1.

Must admit I'm struggling not to be very negative at the minute, I think the issue stems from a lack of clarity on our direction for the future. Doesn't help the players cause that every time we collapse seems to be in local rivalry games, either.

Need to put it right vs Blackpool & Wigan.

I like Schumacher. Did a great job at Plymouth and wasn't doing that bad at Stoke. Young manager. Local. Like the cut of his jib.

Evatt looks like a beaten man every press conference. I've never been keen on his personality but at least he used to have the confidence to back up his arrogance.

Been listening to The Detective & the Log Lady podcast on my commutes to and from work for the past few weeks. Got me fired up for another Twin Peaks watch-through. #ShesDeadWrappedinPlastic

Time to go. Should've gone after Huddersfield. In hindsight it should have been done after Oxford and he'd have left with an excellent reputation. I fear by the time he does go there won't be much of a relationship left - which is a shame - as he has done a lot of good here.

Rewatched The Right Stuff this evening. So good. A stacked cast but that opening 30-40 minutes with Sam Shepard playing Chuck Yeager is some of my favourite character work on film.
