So while we do the whole ‘player count for engagement’ dance, I just wanted to throw my Renegades review in and it’s pretty simple:

If you like Destiny, you will like Renegades. The real game is in the endgame where for me, replay value lacks again. The dungeon needs to land big

Yeah the full reset button would be the best thing. We need a new base to build from and maybe Sony will push for that, we can only wait and see

I do think Renegades looks good and excited to play. I just always liked discovery in Destiny so hope there’s more behind the curtain

So I get the reason why Bungie got previews in but I now feel like I’ve seen 90% of the DLC. No hate, just think too much was shown but suppose that could be because they need a big advertising campaign for it with current player sentiment

Goal for the weekend is finish this last section of my Arc Raiders expedition so we can go ham on Renegades

Calling it now, this big ‘hidden’ thing within Destiny will be a new element. Not a subclass (yet) but a new weapon type which will eventually become a new subclass

This is all theory by looking at previews, I know nothing extra. I just think it could be ‘kinetic’ aka Force

Unironically Destiny Renegades looks more like class Destiny than a lot of recent content

Arc raiders is easily one of the best games I’ve played in quite some time

Something that’s really hooked me in

Keeper is a very enjoyable little puzzle game

Great visuals and puzzles that aren’t so deep it causes much stress but actually pushes forward the flow and narrative of the world

A definite ‘sit and chill’ game where it keeps you hooked and wanting to explore deeper with each move forward

Have to say it’s always been the case with Destiny. The newest thing is almost always is the best way forward

Had the same experience! Sure I did some Solo Ops but I never just thought this was the entire game now. It’s the path of least resistance, sure but levels come from anywhere in the portal

I think we’re same goal different start points here

I agree chasing gear is a great part of the game and was always worth the grind. I think what they’ve gone too hard on is making that all about levels rather than beating difficult content. Removing the end game for Lost Sector grinding was bad

My question to that would be, what are you actually playing? 100% genuine to gauge your experience

I’ve always been one who focuses on the new, I’ve played all the old content and it’s now ‘done’ to me. I want the new stuff and that’s always my focus so with EoF, that’s T5 gear for context

450 light is an extreme example because at that point literally everything is T5, even if you switch to an untouched alt

The level system is 100% not perfect and the endgame non-existent. But my point remains the same, levelling does not take 100s of hours

Everything lives in the Portal now. Fireteam Ops, Trials, PvP, Solo, Pinnacle

That’s literally all I’ve been doing. Pick the bonus activities each day when I can, focus farm a bonus when that a slot is lacking. I’ve not focused on optimal levelling, only doing what I can with what’s there

Please can the community stop with the ‘it takes 200 hours to level up!’

It just doesn’t at all. While it’s still not an ideal system, sensationalising everything doesn’t help with the feedback loop

I got to 399 in around 70 hours not playing optimal so it can be faster

The more time I spend with EoF the more sense it makes and the Portal has grown on me, it will be a solid addition to the game once it’s filled out more

The pain points are the power deltas and the power grind for me. It’s confusing and feels punishing for going up

What’s the score with the power levels then? What’s the best way for me to level up and get caught right up?
