I find it cute that Peter Mansbridge is the news anchor of zootopia. A small signature much of the production was made at the Disney Vancouver studio

first time i was backstabbed by someone pretending to friendly i stopped playing for like a week lmao. even now i find my interest in playing the game waning for each cumulative time i encounter an asshole while trying to proceed in the paper thin AI generated story line portioned out by traders.

Maybe im a bleeding carelord, but i feel I can only stomach ARC's arena style because more often than not, strangers i come across are cordial and eager to assist or hang out/collaborate rather than just open fire on sight. It took me weeks to unlock the achievement marking my first pvp kill.

for whatever reason i got filtered by rust & i think particularly because there is nothing really holding me to engage w/ or discover about the world. Maybe its just been too long since I played..but yea, at the end of the day, theres some underlying story and persistent mythos underpinning STALKER.

What if at the end of the timed arena in Arc Raiders, if you cant extract, you are forced to flee the map before it's nuked from orbit. In order to make it back to Speranza, you need to cross the otherwise locked-off, exceptionally deadly PvE open world to one of the other PvP arena areas to extract

These games function on teleology of looting, sold as "stalker with PVP" but i find nothing Stalker-like about the whole inchoate genre apart from inventory mgmt. It feels more PUBG than anything relating to the substance of Stalker. That substance being survival in a deadly world, not a timed arena

Guess i feel some pain that the devs of Arc opted to get rid of open world PvE because i find myself playing it solo more often than not, skirting the edges of those maps to get that PvP averse survival stealth immersion, defying a game designed to push me into arena crucible over high-loot areas.

If there's one mediocre game ive played alot, it's Generation Zero. If i were to articulate why, its b/c i get a lot of enjoyment in eerie inventory mgmt stealth exploration games where I'm immersed into something bordering roleplay. It's why I love STALKER. I got into ARC b/c its GenZero in premise

last i played i was told by a friend how you can see landmarks from the other maps on the horizon as all maps were made as 1 open world but was axed b/c devs found it was too boring; for every fun match, thered be 10 uneventful ones. yet, i wish i could wander into that blocked off PvE liminal world

Watched a video about the history, balancing & as-yet understood manner of developing extraction shooters in terms of how to strike balance between conflict adverse noobs vs pvp seeking hxc players.. & thinking how that relates to my time playing, having fun and finding disappointment in ARC Raiders
