A Republican state legislator from Arizona called for me to be “tried, convicted and hanged.”
It was a disturbing call for political violence and an attempt to silence my voice and our resistance movement. It should be condemned by members on both sides of the aisle.

Lawmakers introduce legislation to make sure personnel at Navy public shipyards get paid during shutdown
The bipartisan Pay Our Public Shipyard Workers Act guarantees paychecks, ensuring stability for families and continuity for critical Navy missions.
During a government shutdown, thousands of workers at public shipyards are furloughed or required to work without pay.
New legislation would guarantee that a lapse in federal funding does not interrupt their paychecks.

Across Colorado, families are living with a growing fear of ICE raids.
More than half of Latinos in our state say law enforcement should not be allowed to use masks to hide their identity, and 62% say officers should not stop anyone just because they suspect them of being undocumented. (1/2)

It is insane to not pay our troops.
Democrats are here. Republicans need to come back from their vacation, work with us, and we need to pay our troops.

She could’ve said, yes, DOJ worked with Patel to publicly release his grand jury transcript, as he testified — but she didn’t.
Why not? Because there obviously is no publicly released transcript of Patel grand jury testimony.

She could’ve said, yes, DOJ had sealed Patel’s grand jury testimony, as he testified — but she didn’t.
Why not? Likely because it wasn’t sealed. As judge said on the record, nothing prevented Patel from disclosing his grand jury testimony.

Pritzker: "He wants to militarize major cities because he wants us to get used to the idea of troops on the streets. I believe he's gonna post people outside of polling places and if he needs to in order to control those elections, he'll assume control of the ballot boxes & count the votes himself"

They're also right to not emphasize the labeling as well. People get bogged down in debating the label. Don't bother with that.
Political messages should be as simple as possible and repeated as often as possible. The governors are right to keep it simple and let people know the stakes.

Fear is the foundation of Trumpism. He knows that getting people to fear for their own safety activates their most primal—and manipulable—instincts.
Most Americans have never seen pure fascism before. Pritzker and Newsom are 100% right to describe what Trump is doing and why.

Rep. Stansbury: Dems showed up to work. Republicans did not.
From every corner of the country, Dems showed up for work—traveling long days to do our jobs, to reopen the government, to save healthcare, to support our communities, and to save our democracy. Because, that is what we do. But, where are our GOP colleagues? Nowhere to be found.

School offers hikes instead of detention. Teachers are seeing results.
“People seem really different in a good way at the end,” said Leslie Trundy, a Maine high school counselor and avid hiker.
When the students at this Maine high school got detention, they would sit in a classroom for a few hours after school.
A counselor had the idea to offer students an option to hike instead. After their first hikes, they found it improved their moods.
