If you need to release Big Emotions I recommend watching S2 of Euphoria. I SOBBED through those last few eps last night. I also can't stop thinking about how wild that play is and how it didn't cause enough chaos based on the subject matter. Zendaya deserves all the awards for her performance
If you're watching Euphoria for the first time on Max, skip S2E3's recap as it spoils a bunch of stuff for the rest of S2 (that hasn't happened yet)

Just finished The Listeners (2024 tv show) and I really liked it! Fascinating psychological drama centred around an English school teacher who can hear a continuous hum that no-one else seems to hear. The ending was well worth it imo! It's based on a book which I'm curious about now! #TheListeners

Also important to note that there are no 2FA features yet for the app or browser and that users are billed via Google Pay or (I assume) Apple's version of that. Billing through Google Pay does mean being able to bill via PayPal so that's nice, if convoluted. Maybe more payment types will come later
Another pro and con:
Great customisability for subtitles on the browser (font, size, opacity) but the app doesn't have that despite it telling you that it does. The app doesn't seem to conform to the changes you make on the browser. I'd prefer the apps font for the browser which isn't an option
Correction: they do not have the LOTR extended versions, google lied to me about the run time 😂
Pro: they do have the LOTR extended editions (which is very much appreciated) and a ton of Batman animated shows
A very big con: they have HP items (boooooo)

Going back to my photoshop point - the way they've altered the actors faces is wild and is giving uncanny valley especially for Ted Danson in my second pic 😬
My critiques:
- Max have over photoshopped a ton of show/movie posters, so much so that actors are unrecognisable to me (see pics)
- you can't search by actor
- there's no 👍👎 indicator to keep track of what you've watched
- genres are blended between fiction and reality/docos so the lists are huge
Subbed to new streaming service Max that launched today in Australia and I'm impressed! Large catalogue, a ton of HBO shows we haven't been able to access over here, a ton of DC stuff, Turner Classic movies I've been trying to hunt down for ages... My watch list is already 100+ items

Nobody told me The Quiet Place: Day One had the greatest cat acting of all time and the most well-behaved cat ever, plot-wise 😻 the movie itself was great for many reasons (loved Lupita Nyong'o) but the cat really made it *chefs kiss* perfect for me
